Yawcam is a Java-based video streaming application designed exclusively for Windows operating systems. This is Yawcam's classic and most well-known function. By connecting a standard USB webcam to a Windows PC running Yawcam, the software acts as a server, converting that webcam's feed into an IP camera stream that can be viewed over a network. This is a fantastic way to repurpose an old webcam and an old PC into a powerful surveillance tool.
