We recommend that you read these articles to gain a better understanding of how Client works and its interoperability with 3rd party apps.

Environment

This best practices and configurations are based on the following product versions.

Interoperability Configuration Requirements

We recommend the following configuration requirement to ensure Netskope Client is able to steer traffic to Netskope cloud and also allow McAfee to process their traffic without any conflicts.

Configurations in McAfee ePO Console

Default policies in McAfee ePO does not introduce restrictions on Netskope Client traffic. However, when creating a new policy ensure that the ports 80 and 443 are enabled and allowed in the McAfee Security Firewall rules.

Note

HTTP/HTTPS traffic (via 80 and 443) is enabled and allowed in default firewall policy

  1. Login to McAfee MVISION ePO.
  2. From the top menu bar, click Policy Catalog.

The fundamental problem isn't just running the app, but installing it in the first place. Even if you have a legitimate CS6 installer, the process is likely to fail on modern macOS. This is because in 2019. While Photoshop CS6 itself is a 64-bit application, its installer and several licensing components are 32-bit . When you try to run the installer on Catalina or later, macOS simply blocks it. This is the primary reason you cannot install CS6 on any Mac running macOS 10.15 or newer.

GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) has been the classic answer to "what do I use instead of Photoshop?" for over twenty years. With the 3.x series released in 2026, GIMP finally feels like a modern application — featuring non-destructive editing, a refreshed UI, proper HiDPI support for Retina Macs, and CMYK handling through plugins.

According to Adobe's documentation, Photoshop CS6 was designed for:

For users with newer Macs that feature Apple's custom ARM-based chips (M1, M2, or M3), the situation is even more definitive: This is because CS6 was developed exclusively for the older Intel-based architecture. Even the theoretical Rosetta 2 translation technology cannot help here, as the fundamental architecture is incompatible. Despite a very small number of unconfirmed reports suggesting otherwise, official sources from Adobe and Apple confirm that CS6 cannot be installed or run on any Apple Silicon Mac. photoshop cs6 portable mac work

: So-called "portable" versions are often unofficial repackages that bypass standard installation. These are notoriously unstable on macOS and may contain security risks. Potential Workarounds

Adobe Photoshop CS6 remains one of the most beloved versions of the iconic photo editing software. Released in 2012, it was the last version available under a traditional perpetual license before Adobe transitioned completely to the Creative Cloud (CC) subscription model. Because many users want to avoid monthly fees, the search for a "portable" version of Photoshop CS6 for macOS has remained highly active.

First, let’s get straight to the point: There were rumors during the beta phase that Adobe might introduce a portable option, but those never materialized in the final release. Even the reputable team at PortableApps.com has stated clearly: "The license for any version of Photoshop does not allow it legally, and we would not get permission from Adobe even if we did ask." While Photoshop CS6 itself is a 64-bit application,

The single biggest reason Photoshop CS6 Portable will not work on a modern Mac is the operating system architecture. Photoshop CS6 contains .
